FounderIt all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more.
Victoria grew up in the East Valley of Phoenix, Arizona and was working in senior living for the thirteen years prior to starting the company English Lifestyles. Always on call in that industry 24/7 and having to cover when the company was short staffed, started to take a toll on family life. When COVID hit, she worked 14 weeks in a row without a day off and no appreciation or overtime pay from the company and her one-year-old son at the time didn’t know who she was. The next three years were spent going through the motions of burnout. Victoria was exhausted and miserable and was not able to give the time to her family that she so wanted. After missing a few important milestones with her kiddos, she said enough is enough and thought of things that she has always liked and enjoyed and how to turn that into a company where she could have the work life balance that she wanted. Victoria has always been a goal orientated person and was never one to sit around doing nothing. She graduated from ASU with a degree in design management. When most young girls wanted to start making money they would babysit for the neighbor's kids, Victoria, however, started a cleaning and organizing company when she was in Junior High and made money throughout college cleaning and organizing people’s homes. She also worked for a realtor and would stage homes to sell. Taking that concept after a blessing in disguise in her life, she collaborated with her sister-in-law, Lindsay, and the dream was made and the company formed. As a wife and mother to four kids, toddlers and teens, organization was key to maintaining a flow and peace in the home as she was working 50+ hours a week. Now she is ready to help to simplify the process for you in your life and to have the lifestyle you have always wanted.

I am a mother of six beautiful kids. I have been a stay at home mom for almost 24 years and I have been married for over 25 years. My oldest child is 23 and my youngest are twins who are almost 16. With all my kids being grown, I decided to go back to school to earn me degree in behavioral science. I am a certified life coach, but I wanted more education on how to best help my clients. I love to read and write, but I love hanging out with my family more than anything. I am, also, a weirdo who loves to clean and organize. I enjoy boxing up my home and moving to a new house, it is so fun. Vicki and I were talking one day and realized we not only have the love of Harry Potter in common, but we also both love to move and organize.
We would not be the people we are today without those who have inspired us along the way!
Our Inspirations
Our inspiration comes from a combination of things. It would be hard to say everything that inspires us, so here is our “short” list if you will!
One of our biggest inspirations is our faith. Although we don’t have the same faith and don’t necessarily believe the same things, we both believe that God will provide and will not give us more than we can handle. This has given us strength in the difficult times and challenges we have gone through.
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” We are both involved in our religious organization and serve others and volunteer on a regular basis.
Our families are another motivating factor for why we do what we do and who we ultimately do it for. Our kids, spouses, parents, siblings, and close friends have been very supportive throughout this process and we could not have done it without them cheering us on. We know we are biased, but we have the best kids in the whole world and they are so smart, creative, and amazing; they truly make us proud and push us to be better every day. We love and cherish our family time above everything else.
Our Design Inspirations
Victoria is a fan of Mies Van Der Rhoe and tries to embrace the “less is more” philosophy. From a design perspective, she also, leans toward function over form and especially when it comes to organizing and decorating. “It might look cool,” she says, “but what is its purpose and how long will it take me to clean?” She is also a fan of clean lines, rustic farmhouse, and the winery style when it comes to decor.
Lindsay is a minimalist and enjoys having a clean and organized home. She truly encapsulates the “less is more” philosophy and is someone you definitely want on your team when it comes to downsizing and organizing.
We wanted to also shout out these modern women for all they do and the work they have done. We try to embrace your concepts in our everyday lives as well.
Marie Kondo and her Spark Joy methods. How you can find joy in the smallest, everyday items humbles us and touches our hearts. You remind us that it is ok to let go and thank those items that pass from our hands to the next without guilt. You allow us to let go and respect the items that we choose to keep in our lives. You inspire us to be grateful.
Obviously, the Home Edit! How could you have an organization business without being inspired by these ladies. It is like running a wedding business without tipping your hat at Emily Post! We love watching the two of you. Your story is truly an inspiration. We would love to hang out sometime! Victoria was watching the show with her mom, having already taken the Clea/Joanna quiz, she asks, “Am I a Clea or a Joanna?” Mom answers, “Clea!” She was right. We love how you still like being together after all these years!
As sisters-in-laws, we really have only known each other since 2013 when Victoria started dating her now husband, Joe, and joined the English Family. We first bonded over a mutual love of Harry Potter. We dominate trivia, speak spells or quotes in everyday conversation, and send each other HP memes quite often. Lindsay was the first person called when Victoria realized that the iPhone knows Harry Potter spells! We wanted to thank JK Rowling for being a strong woman who keeps the magic alive for us even now! We hope to meet you someday!
Also wanted to shout out some truly amazing women that we follow on Instagram. You do amazing work and we love watching your progress. If you are not following these ladies you are missing out! @flipflopsandtopknots @the.rosie.home @frills_and_drills @arrowsandbow @angelarosehome
Didn’t want to forget this guy either! He is doing some amazing remodels in AZ right now! @james_creationsllc
